Geithoorn – A Dutch Water Village
Sometimes referred to as “The Venice of the North”, Geithoorn is actually nothing like Venice, except for that fact that the village is mostly made up of canals, not roads. It’s not a busy, bustling city like Venice, it is a very small, peaceful, place in the east of the Netherlands.
But, it is a popular place to come for a boat ride, even on a day that was rather windy and chilly.
