Spotted this guy way over at the end of the inlet, staying close to the water for feeding purposes, but in the tree to avoid the alligator’s feeding purposes.
Grown Gator Sunning
This one was a bit bigger, and found himself a nice little piece of land in the middle of the inlet to sun on.

Juvenile Gator
This guy was a bit smaller than the other ones we saw at Huntington State Beach but he was closest to the walking path and was kind enough to shift around and give us a good look.

This guy let us get fairly close to him and just hung out on the post, keenly looking around at everything, until we reached a point on the boardwalk where we got a little too close, and then he was gone, fast!
