A stop along the Natchez Trace Parkway that has now been turned into a camping site is Rocky Springs. Once upon a time, there was a town on this spot, but currently, the only thing left is the still-active church, the church cemetery, and a couple of remnants of the old town, like a bank vault that was cemented into the ground.

Natchez Trace Parkway
I had some time off in early Fall and was looking for a nice long drive, so the Natchez Trace Parkway fit the bill. Natchez, MS is a relatively short drive from Baton Rouge, and it’ll take most of the rest of the day to drive up to Tupelo. You could go on from there, but Tupelo was my endpoint, making a drive back down the next day. Lots of interesting things to see, and history to absorb. These are a few shows along the drive but will have plenty more from various stops coming on the blog soon.
