The Wildcat Branch Falls wayside used to be home to a nice shelter house that could be used to get out of the weather, but still out of your car as well. The building is long gone, but the chimney and fireplace still remain. Based on the looks of it, I’d say the fireplace is still a popular place to have a camp fire.

The Wildcat Branch Falls area was once a wayside for those traveling along US Highway 11 near Table Rock State Park. After being in the car too long, you could stop here, and wade in the pool at the bottom of these falls, or hike further up to a shelter house. This waterfall is right off the road and requires no hiking at all!
